Messiah Moravian Church has a variety of educational opportunities to help you grow in your Christian faith.

ADULT CLASSES

Adult classes encompass small discussion groups, literature-based classes, and traditional Bible studies. They take place at 9:30 prior to worship service. Current classes are listed below. For additional information, please send us an email.

  • Parents of Young Families: A discussion group focused on the challenges and rewards of raising Christian children in today’s world.

  • Jon Hus Study Group: Examine the meaning and significance of life through discussions of grace, death, and resurrection. Note that this class meets at 9:30 AM.

  • CHILDREN’S CLASSES

Children’s Sunday school classes take place every other Sunday during worship at 10:30 AM. See the events page for dates. The classes, geared for elementary school-aged children grades K-5, center on Bible stories and incorporate fun learning and play activities. During times of pleasant weather, Sunday school classes will be held at the children’s outdoor classroom to further nurture our youth to develop a relationship with the world around us.

In addition, to Sunday school classes, our youth are involved in a variety of ways in supporting the Messiah mission. From pre-kindergarten through the college years, our children and youth are involved in service at local nursing homes, homeless shelters, clean-up of city parks, mission trips, preparing back-packs for needy children, writing letters to soldiers, or wherever there is a need. We believe that we love God with all our heart, and strength and mind by loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
