Messiah Moravian Church has a variety of educational opportunities to help you grow in your Christian faith.

ADULT CLASS

Jon Hus Study Group activities begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall parlor prior to the Sunday worship service. There are no requirements to join the group nor a need to attend every event. Attendees are encouraged to select those topics in which they are interested.

For the fall 2025 session, the Jon Hus Study Group will offer an 8-week series based on Elaine Pagels’ most recent book, Miracles and Wonder: The Historical Mystery of Jesus. Each week, group members will discuss a chapter in this volume. No scholarly expertise is required. Participants are encouraged to share their reactions to these subjects through group discussion, including contemplation of topics such as the meaning and significance of life as perceived in the current texts.

  • Note that this class commences for a 45-minute session at 9:30 a.m. and concludes at 10:15 for the beginning of the 10:30 worship service in the church sanctuary.

Children’s Sunday school classes take place every other Sunday during worship at 10:30 AM. See the events page for dates. The classes, geared for elementary school-aged children grades K-5, center on Bible stories and incorporate fun learning and play activities. During times of pleasant weather, Sunday school classes will be held at the children’s outdoor classroom to further nurture our youth to develop a relationship with the world around us.

We believe that we love God with all our heart, and strength and mind by loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
